Emma Drye focuses her practice on themes of partial encounter; both in relationships with others and in knowledge production through practice. She is Programme Leader for two discipline-specific undergraduate honours degrees, Drawing and Painting, at Open College of the Arts – an online provider of arts education for over 30 years and owned by the Open University. She is currently undertaking a PhD at Chelsea School of Art (UAL) contextualising elements of her own practice against the archive of the historic Artist Placement Group.
